Dr Daphne Han

Dr Daphne Han is the Medical Director and Senior Consultant at LSC Eye Clinic, located at Paragon, Singapore. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she is an established eye specialist well-known for her work in laser vision correction and laser eye treatments for refractive conditions such as myopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia.​

She is highly trained in a wide range of refractive procedures, including ZEISS SMILE^® Pro, LASIK, Epi-LASIK, LASEK, PRK, and Monovision LASIK, and also offers Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL) for patients unsuitable for standard laser treatments. In addition, Dr Han performs both conventional and advanced cataract surgeries using microincision and laser-assisted techniques, as well as intraocular lens implants tailored to patients’ needs.​

Beyond refractive surgery, she manages medical eye conditions such as cataract, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), diabetic eye disease, and childhood myopia. She also performs pterygium excision and minor lid and squint surgeries.​

Dr Han received her medical degree from the University of Melbourne and completed postgraduate training in the UK, including at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and King’s/St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. She later joined the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC), where she served for over 14 years in the Cataract and Comprehensive Ophthalmology & Laser Vision Centre, and also held appointments as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS.​

Her international training includes time at the Institute of Refractive and Ophthalmic Surgery (IROC) in Zurich under Professor Theo Seiler, and an observership at the Cincinnati Eye Institute in the USA with Dr Robert Osher and Dr Michael Snyder.​

Dr Han remains active in the field as a reviewer for professional journals, a published author in ophthalmology, and a frequent invited speaker at conferences. She strongly believes in early intervention and personalised, evidence-based care, helping her patients achieve the best possible vision with advanced technologies such as ZEISS SMILE^® Pro and ZEISS PRESBYOND.​
