EYE SCREENINGS
A detailed eye screening includes a comprehensive list of tests and clinical examinations (including dilation of the pupil) done by an ophthalmologist.
It aims to detect eye conditions such as refractive errors (spectacles prescription), presbyopia (“lao hua”), cataract, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other retinal diseases.

LASIK/ReLEx® SMILE EYE SCREENING

– Maps the corneal to extreme precise & accurate readings
– Provides detailed information on a personalised laser vision correction plan
– Determine if the cornea is sufficiently thick to undergo surgery
– Diagnose any corneal injuries, irregularities or cataract

GENERAL EYE SCREENING

– Visual Acuity (Test for Distance & Near vision)
– Auto Refraction (Computerised measurement of the refractive power of your eyes)
– Tonometry (Computerised measurement of the eye pressure using a non-contact device)
– Refraction by Optometrist (Spectacles and/or contact lens prescription)
– Slit lamp examination (Detailed examination of the cornea, lens, vitreous, retina, optic nerve and macula)

PREMIUM EYE SCREENING

– Visual Acuity (Test for Distance & Near vision)
– Auto Refraction (Computerised measurement of the refractive power of your eyes)
– Tonometry (Computerised measurement of the eye pressure using a non-contact device)
– Refraction by Optometrist (Spectacles and/or contact lens prescription)
– Slit lamp examination (Detailed examination of the cornea, lens, vitreous, retina, optic nerve and macula)
– Humphrey Visual Field (Computerised instrument to detects visual field defects)
– Fundus Photography (Detects eye conditions affecting your optic nerve, macula and retina by assessing photographs of the back of your eyes)

*This package includes Glaucoma screening.

Special note:
Please set aside 2 to 3 hours of your time for your eye screening.

Contact lens should not be worn, we recommend you to put on your spectacles instead. You can wear your contact lens back after the eye screening.

After pupil dilation, your near vision may be temporarily affected. You are advised not to drive after your eye screening and will most likely resume normal vision within the next 12 to 24 hours.
